    Universal Class
    Over 500 online continuing education courses are now available through Universal Class. Learn on your own time at your own pace. Universal Class offers courses on a wide range of subjects. A Lincoln Public Library card is required to access Universal Class outside the library.

    With Gale Presents: Udemy, your library connects you to more than 4,000 video-based courses in business, technology, software, and personal development. This top collection provides access to relevant skills training, helping you achieve success at work and in life.

    Learning Express Library
    LearningExpress Library provides a completely interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons, students, and adult learners succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass. 

    GCFLearnFree.org
    GCFLearnFree.org offers free self-paced online courses to learn the essential skills needed to live and work in the 21st century.


    Library Classes

    The Technology Librarian offers a variety of introductory computer classes. Please check the library's events calendar for the current offering of classes.

     

    Low Vision Devices

    • The Aladdin Magnifier is available to patrons who need an object/text magnified.
       

    Charging

    • Indoor portable chargers for mobile devices are available at the Reference Desk to be used inside the library.
    • Outdoor charging is available for all your power needs. Charging cords are not available. You can find the charging station on the patio.
       

    Indoor/Outdoor Wifi

    • Indoor free WiFi is available throughout the library. The password is displayed at the Reference Desk and can be found displayed in various sitting areas.
    • Wifi is available outside the building, including the patio are.
       

    Public Computers/iPads

    Reference Area
    PCs are available for public use behind the Reference Desk and in the carrels area. Users can sign on using their library card. Guest passes are also available at the Reference Desk. All PCs are using Windows 11, Office 2016, and offer access to the internet and printing.

    Children's Room
    The following computers/iPads are available for children to use in the Children's Room.

    • 1 PC for using Windows 11, Office 2016, and offer access to the internet and printing.
    • 4 iPads preloaded with educational applications.
    • 2 Early Literacy Station computers with educational applications.
    • 1 AfterSchool Edge computer with educational applications.
